Denver Bell 4 Tilney 2
FOLLOWING last week's heavy defeat to England's Hope, Denver needed a win to get back on track.
From the start, the home side looked more likely to score, and their efforts were rewarded when James Goude broke the deadlock.
Denver's Gary Hooker was always a threat on the left, and despite several chances going begging, the home side doubled their lead on the half-hour when Goude finished off a good team move.
Bell began to play some fine football, and Chenery put them 3-0 up at the break with a superb individual goal.
Denver continued to press forward in the second half, but they were caught on the break, and Jack Webber lifted Tilney with a goal to reduce the arrears.
With 10 minutes remaining, Tilney won a free kick in a dangerous position and although Martin saved the first shot, Smith pounced on the rebound to put Tilney back in the game.
There were several concerned faces in the Bell ranks but the game was made safe in the dying minutes when Chenery's cross was met by man of the match Jerry Rose, who headed in at the back post.
