Sports Cup Final

The Cock Inn 6 Old White Bell 2

THE Cock Inn won the Sports Cup - but they were made to fight for it by a spirited Old White Bell side.

The Cock were the better side in the opening exchanges and they took the lead when Luke Pepper scored from 18 yards.

The lead only lasted three minutes however, and Adam Bell beat the offside trap to level the scores before the break.

Stuart Anderson restored the Cock's lead but Mike Grey once again put Bell back on level terms.

However, the game turned when a mix-up in the Bell defence allowed Ashley Brand to score.

After that, it was one-way traffic and the March side made certain of the victory with a goal from Joe Armitage and another two from Stuart Anderson.
