MARCH Town United boss Brett Whaley has revealed he’s looking to sign a goalkeeper on loan to cope with Lea Jordan’s impending suspension.

Jordan was sent off during Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Whitton United and could be suspended for up to three games. The Hares’ number one was given his marching orders for retaliating to a challenge.

The length of the ban - set to start in early September - will depend on referee Paul Andrews’ report of the incident.

Whaley said: “Lea’s the best’ keeper around here so he’ll obviously be a massive loss.

“I’m going to have to try and get someone in from a higher level so they can be capable of giving us what Lea does during the time he’s suspended. I just hope the ban is as short as possible.”

The Hares boss said he wouldn’t be appealing against the suspension and admitted the impressive shot-stopper would learn from the incident.

Whaley said: “In the heat of the moment people react in different ways and Lea reacted to what he felt was a stamp.

“The reality is what has happened has happened and he’ll double his efforts as a result I’m sure of that.”
