Wimblington Football Club returned to league action as they welcomed Great Paxton to Parkfield.
They switched formation this week to 451 and made four changes to the side.
Wimblington took control early and after a minute were ahead. A sweeping move to front had Paxton stretched and the ball fell to Rob Munden who hammered it home to 1-0.
Nick Ward’s first touch was excellent and drilled a low stroke into the bottom corner, making it 2-0.
After a clever move Coxy tested the keeper from range - a good save corner whipped in not dealt with. Martin Porter hooked his shot straight in the net for 3-0.
A rampant ruthless spell saw Richardson add the fourth, beating his man low strike nestled in near post 4-0.
The second half soon rolled round: Aaron Elmore pounced on a mistake fired in the fifth.
Mazurek added his deft touch to find the bottom corner for 6-0.
Wimblington FC said: “We took our chances well early on in the game, grew in confidence and, similar to last week, we dominated the opposition.
“But we hit the goals that mattered and really should have had double figures. The togetherness from the group was better after rotation in formation.
“It’s about the squad not the 11 who start - the attitude was better and showed the lads have worked extremely hard over the weeks.”
