MARCH Golf Club held its most successful days competition for many years on Saturday August 14.
100 golfers participated at the Captain’s Day despite rain with 88 men playing an 18-hole Pairs Stapleford competition and women a shorter 9-hole version.
Tom Cracknell and Lewis Ogden (47 points) picked up the men’s prize while Jo Rowlett and Treasa Layton (20 points) secured the women’s title.
The Past Captain’s prize was won by Steve Campbell with 36 points.
80 people attended the evening presentation dinner which was followed by entertainment by DJ Sam Ambrose.
