March Town captain Chris Ringham has set his side a top five league finish target after Steve Seymour inspired them to a 88 run win over Warboys at The Avenue on Saturday.
March batted first and posted 219-7, with Steve Seymour (46), Tommy Howgego (38), Stephen Shaw (35) and Rob Tombs (32no) in the runs.
Warboys, in reply, reached 98-2 but Seymour took 7-23 as the visitors were dismissed for 131.
Captain Chris Ringham, whose side sit seventh in the Tucker Gardner League, said: “Before the game I told the players we have underachieved this season and they seemed to take it on board.
“With the squad we have we should be in the top five in the league, and that’s the challenge I’ve set them for the rest of the season.

“We were pleased to get the win. I didn’t realise it was seven weeks since our last victory.
“We started late as we caught the edge of a thunderstorm and lost the toss on a dampish pitch but we batted well.

“David Hodson and Tommy Howgego got us off to a good start and the middle order showed up. Rob Tombs got some late runs which gave us the chance to declare early.
“Having declared, when they were 90-odd for two a few things were going through my mind, but I gave Seymour another opportunity from a different end and he could not stop taking wickets.”
March travel to third place Sawston, who March thrillingly beat by one wicket earlier this season, on Saturday.
They will be bolstered by the return of wicketkeeper Chris Budd, Ben Pyle and Tyler Phillips.
Ringham said: “It’s obviously going to be tough as Sawston has been one of our bogey grounds for the past four or five years.
“Hopefully Saturday’s win will give us confidence and we will go on a winning run - in the last couple of seasons we have tended to win or lose games in batches.”
