Wisbech captain Alan Burton says that no other team in the league can compete with his side when they are at their best.
After a shaky start to the season, his side have hit top form - they have picked up four wins and had three call-offs since they lost to Tucker Gardner League leaders Godmanchester in May.
At Harecroft Road on Saturday, Wisbech picked up a comfortable seven wicket over Nassington.
With ten games to go, reigning champions Wisbech remain fourth in the league behind Godmanchester, Sawston and Ramsey.
But Burton is confident that his side will retain their title.
Burton said: “It is always harder to follow up a league title because everyone wants to beat you.
“I don’t think the team realised how much harder it was going to be at the start of the year, but it has sunk in now and everyone is working hard and giving it everything they’ve got.

“All the top teams still need to play each other so the title will go to the team that wins the big games and doesn’t slip up against the other sides.
“If we play the way we can play I don’t think anyone in the league will beat us. We are a really strong side.”
Wisbech’s win over Nassington was built on an excellent bowling effort on a flat deck which restricted Nassington to 172-6.
James Williams, on his return to the side, was the pick of the bowlers with 3-17.
In reply, Wisbech lost openers Andrew Lane and Danny Haynes early but Burton, who made a patient unbeaten 61, and Gary Freear’s blistering 62 not out off 47 balls helped them cruise home.
Burton said: “It was a 250 wicket so the bowlers did really well to keep them to 170. It’s always good to have James (Williams) back. It’s a shame we can’t have him all season.
“Then it was a nice partnership between Gary (Freear) and myself to get us home.”
Wisbech will be firm favourites when they travel to third bottom Warboys on Saturday but Burton says his side will not be complacent.
He said: “We are getting to where we want to be and playing good cricket but we will make sure we don’t take anything for granted against Warboys.”
