Wisbech Town had to settle for a draw against second bottom Cambridge NCI at Harecroft Road on Saturday.
Both Burton (106 no) and Gary Freear (107no) made tons as Wisbech posted 243-1 declared.
But, despite having 54 overs to play with, they could not dismiss the visitors, who finished on 200-9. James Williams was the pick of the bowlers with 4-36.
Burton said: βIt was pretty frustrating. We batted well and were a bit too relaxed in the field, thinking the wickets would come quickly. We went off the boil in the first 10 to 15 overs, which cost us the win.β
