Gary Neugebauer pipped close rival Lewis Ogden to seal the glory in the March Golf Club Club Championships last weekend.

Top golfers from around Fenland faced off for the Scratch prize – awarded to the best gross score over 36 holes – and the Handicap prizes for the best net score.

The top twenty competitors made the cut after Saturday’s round to compete for the title, and Neugebauer and Ogden led from the front, eventually requiring a play-off to settle matters.

In a closely fought encounter, Gary came out on top with an impressive gross 153, with Ivan Roberts finishing in third with gross 157.

The Handicap prize went to Nick Carter (net 140), closely followed by Robert Henshaw (net 141), with Lewis Ogden beaten on count back with a net 141.
