Fenland British Chinese Kickboxing Association (BCKA) members showed why they are considered as some of the finest fighters in the country by taking home dozens of trophies - including 18 titles - from the BCKA National Kung fu and Kick Boxing Championships.
20 members from the Fenland club joined top fighters from English, Scottish, Irish and German clubs in Corby for the tournament last weekend, and went above and beyond to scoop 18 titles.
Three of the club’s members – Leon Gold, Matthew Lazenby and Eddy Paddock - also represented England in the international team event, helping them to victory in the men’s and boys’ sections.
Coach at Fenland BCKA, Andy Whitwell, said: “As always, I am very proud of all our fighters, whether they win or lose, as I know they all gave 100 per cent.
“Our success is great news for our new sponsor – MT Cars: Subaru of Whittlesey – as it was our first competition in the sponsored uniforms.”
