March Town United put in a spirited performance against league leaders Halstead Town but left empty handed.
Sam Darlow put them 1-0 up in the first half but they shipped two goals after the break.
The Hares had chances to equalise but Halstead held on.
They face Linton Granta in the cup tomorrow.
