March Town boss Brett Whaley has called on the local public to turn out in force this Saturday.
The Hares entertain Diss Town at the GER, 3pm and have made it a ‘Pay What You Want’ fixture.
Whaley’s men are unbeaten in six Thurlow Nunn League First Division North games – a fine run which has seen them rocket up the standings.
Victory tomorrow could lift them into the top six and Whaley is hopeful of a big turnout as his side return to action for the first time since recovering from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with high-flying Mulbarton on October 20.
“We’ve worked hard to get ourselves into a good position and we want the people of March and the surrounding areas to see what we’re all about,” said Whaley.

“Hopefully the ‘Pay What You Want’ initiative will lead to a big crowd and the challenge for myself and the boys is to make sure we impress with a good performance.
“Our away record is actually much better than our home record and that is something we are keen to start putting that right.

“The break last weekend came at a good time after a busy October with three midweek games in a row, but we’re raring to go again and hopefully we can continue the unbeaten run.
“We’re in a league where virtually all teams are capable of beating any other side on any given day.
“Therefore stringing a few results together – as we have done – will lead to you quickly move up the table.
“We were 19th at one stage and we now sit seventh, but I still maintain that we won’t really settle and click until after Christmas.
“We still have a question mark over our formation and also some combinations in certain parts of the pitch.
“It takes a long time to get things right after such a big turnover of players in the summer so the fact we’ve been picking up points pretty consistently is very encouraging.
“We’re still not producing 90-minute performances often enough but I’m confident they will come.”
March are also back on home turf on Tuesday when they entertain Downham Town in the third round of the First Division KO Cup, 7.45pm.
But they have another Saturday off on November 10 with a trip to Haverhill Borough postponed due to their opponents’ involvement in a county cup competition. That fixture will now be re-arranged for a midweek slot.
* There’s also a tasty Fenland derby at West Street this Saturday as Chatteris Town entertain March Town Reserves in the Cambs William Coad Intermediate Cup, 3pm.
