IT WAS another good weekend for the Peterborough Phantoms but it also turned out to be hugely eventful one.Saturday's visit to bottom side Wightlink Raiders was always going to be a tough game but it ended up being more of a boxing match as the two teams clashed at the end of the game.Fights broke out across the rink and four Raiders players, together with Phantoms co-manager Phil Wing, picked up match penalties.The Phantoms earned two points with a 3-2 victory but the flash point was the ruling out of a Raiders 'goal' just seconds from the end.Jason Coles put the home side ahead only for James Morgan to equalise before the end of the first period.The second period followed a similar pattern as Chris Crombie put Raiders ahead before James Ferrara put Phantoms level again.The drama continued in the final period when Stefan Rusnak put Phantoms ahead. The disallowed Raiders goal kept the Phantoms ahead and lit the blue touch paper.Peterborough made it a three point weekend when they drew 5-5 with Swindon Wildcats at Planet Ice on Sunday.Both sides were looking for a win and it showed as they produced a thrilling end-to-end game of hockey.Twice the visitors took the lead in the first period but Phantoms ended the period on level terms thanks to goals from Antti Kohvakka and James Ferrara.The second period proved to be just as exciting as two goals from Lewis Buckman and Darren McKague were matched by a pair from the visitors. The Wildcats went ahead in the third period through Adam Walker but once again, it was Rusnak who had the final say with a spectacular equaliser.
