PETERBOROUGH Phantoms are back to winning ways after picking up a maximum four points from the weekend's games.At Planet Ice on Saturday, the Phantoms were in fine form to beat Romford Raiders 5-1.There was a debut appearance from Canadian Darren McKague for the crowd to cheer but it was the Raiders who took the lead through Andrias Kamluskas.However, the game changed in the second period and James Morgan, Lewis Buckman and James Elwood all hit the target to put the Phantoms in charge.The home side took advantage of a powerplay in the final period when Morgan hit his second and an excellent performance was rounded-off by Jason Buckman's goal.The Phantoms carried on their good form in to Sunday's match at Solihull Barons but they needed a dramatic late penalty save from netminder Greg Rockman to keep Phantoms' 4-3 lead intact.The Peterborough side dominated the first two periods and goals from Doug McEwen, Andy Turner and Antti Kohvakka put them 3-1 ahead at the beginning of the third period.However, the Phantoms had to recover from a late Barons come-back that saw them level the scores with 15 minutes remaining.But Stefan Rusnak's goal and Rockman's save guaranteed two valuable points.- FOUR young Phantoms have been selected for the Great Britain under-18 squad that will compete in the World U18 Championships in Lithuania.Forwards James Ferrara, James Archer and Andrew Turner will be joined by netminder Euan King in the national team that will and face Lithuania, Croatia, Australia, Israel and Mexico in the Division Two games in March.
