Chatteris cueman Joe Perry made short work of his good friend Barry Hawkins in the first round of the Ladbrokes World Grand Prix.

The 41-year-old was in fine form against the world number eight this afternoon, dispatching him 4-0 in the first round of the tournament held in Llandudno, Wales.

The Gentleman will face the winner of the tie between Kyren Wilson and Welshman Jamie Jones in the second round on Thursday (March 10) at 7pm.
