TEAM Belotti Wisbech has returned from the British Inline Roller Speed Skating Championships with a huge haul of medals and trophies.

Some of the best speed skaters in the country took part in the two-day event, in Birmingham, and the Wisbech team bagged a total 12 gold medals, eight silver, three bronze and 12 of the 39 trophies up for grabs.

Team Belotti Wisbech trains from 6-7.30pm every Saturday evening at Skaters, Walpole Highway. Skaters of all experience levels and ages are welcome to attend. For more information call Marion or Hugh Doggett on 01945 584794.

Results: Senior men - Michael McInerney: 300m time trial - 7th; 500m - 4th; 1,000m - 5th; 5,000m - 5th; 15,000m - 3rd. Junior boys 16-17 years - Matthew Cardell-Williams: 300m time trial - 1st; 500m - 1st; 1,000m - 1st; 10,000m - 1st. Junior boys 16-17 years - Robert McDonald: 300m time trial - 2nd; 500m - 2nd; 1,000m - 2nd; 10,000m - 2nd. Cadet boys 13-15 years - James Ashby: 300m time trial - 1st; 500m - 1st; 3,000m - 1st; 5,000m - 1st. Pupil boys 10-12 years - Joe Adam Hardy: 300m time trial - 7th; 2,000m - 6th. Mini girls 6-9 years - Shannon Aldridge-Owens: 300m time trial - 2nd; 500m - 2nd; 1,000m - 2nd. Mini boys 6-9 years - Harry Causton: 300m time trial - 1st; 500m - 2nd; 1,000m - 1st. Pupil and cadet boys 10-15 years - 3000m relay: Joe Adam Hardy and James Ashby - 1st. Junior boys and senior men - 5,000m relay: Michael McInerney, Matthew Cardell-Williams and Alex Doggett - 3rd.
