A VASTLY depleted March Town United side put up a valiant fight against Ipswich Wanderers but left empty handed.
The Hares squad was so threadbare that striker Danny Emmington played in goal and manager Paul Crosbie came out of retirement to fill in at centre-half.
March finished their Thurlow Nunn First Division campaign in 14th place.
