Joe Perry had to come from behind to scrape his way into the last 32 of the Betway UK Championships.
The Chatteris cueman struggled to hit his stride against China’s Xiao Guodong and fell 4-1 behind, but managed to fire back to seal a 6-4 success.
Guodong looked certain to take a 5-1 lead with a break of 56, but Perry pinched the frame to begin his comeback.
He then won the following four frames, before completing the turnaround with a break of 84.
World number nine Perry will take on 2003 UK Champion Matthew Stevens tomorrow (29).
