Joe Perry survived a scare to seal his passage into the second round of the World Grand Prix in Preston yesterday.
Perry found himself two frames down to good friend Mark Williams but recovered to take four consecutive frames and set up a meeting with either Mark Selby or Martin Gould in the next round.
The Masters finalist, 42, is looking to improve on his performance in last year’s competition where he reached the semi-finals.
