FEN Potter Joe Perry will play Graeme Dott at the Crucible next week after surviving a scare in his World Championship qualifier last night.
The world number 26 looked to be cruising towards the tournament in Sheffield after potting his way to an 8-2 lead against Jamie Burnett.
But the world number 43 launched an impressive comeback in the evening session last night (Sunday), hauling it back to 9-8.
In a nervy finish, Perry summoned the composure to take the 18th frame and book his place at snooker’s biggest tournament.
Perry will face Scottish star Dott, ranked ninth in the world, in the first round. The tournament begins on Saturday.
