MARCH Amateur Boxing Club’s first female boxer Vicky Larham is just one bout away from sealing a triumphant debut season with championship silverware.
Larham faces Tammi Bennett, of Stafford Town ABC, in the Southern Amateur Boxing Association Finals in Mansfield on Sunday.
Victory would cap an incredible debut season for Larham - who has remained unbeaten since winning her first bout in February.
Coach Bernie Wing said Larham had every reason to be full of confidence. “She’s had five bouts and she’s won five,” he said. “She’s so strong and she’s started to get a bit of a reputation.
“If she won it, it would be magic. She works so hard in training and there couldn’t be a more deserving champion.”
