It was a busy weekend for March Athletics Club runners – with club members taking on some of the most challenging races in the country.
Six local athletes took to Beachy Head in East Sussex on Saturday to tackle the Beachy Head Marathon, which featured a tricky 1,000m climb and an all off-road course.
Toni Alcaraz and Mike Boxall decided to run the course and crossed the line in an impressive time of three hours, 51 minutes and 53 seconds, while Billy Bremner, Harry Littlemore and Fay Scrivener decided to walk and finished in eight hours and 37 minutes.
Club stalwart, Bernie Wing, covered 19 miles before calling it a day with an injury.
March runners were also in action in at the Snowdon Marathon, with Dave Burgess completing the challenge in three hours, 11 minutes and 33 seconds to finish in 57th overall.
