March Bears’ excellent early season form is showing no sign of stopping.

The Bears handed out another heavy defeat in the Eastern Counties Greene King Division Two West on Saturday, hammering St Ives 2nds 66-12.

March ran in eight tries on their way to victory, with Connor Porter scoring two and Lewis Harvey, Stewart Rigby, Dan Ryan, Ben Pyle, Jack Allison and Simon Altoff also adding their names to the score sheet.

March started off slowly in Huntingdonshire but took a 22-12 lead into the break. It was in the second half in which the Bears really kicked into gear, with six tries coming in the final 40 minutes.

Porter also starred with the boot, converting all eight tries as March eased to their third straight league victory. They stay at the top of the league standings and will look to add a fourth consecutive win on Saturday at Stamford.
