NE14 HOCKEY LADIES'EAST LEAGUE DIVISION TWO NORTH

Norwich City I 2 March I 1

MARCH slipped to third following defeat against a team who came down from Division One North last season.

The Norfolk side are only lying in mid-table, but they proved just too good for previously unbeaten March.

When March's attacking play broke down, a fast break from Norwich resulted in the first goal of the game.

This was quickly followed by a second goal for the home side, and March found themselves playing catch up for once.

Despite gaining a number of penalty corners, March were unable to score.

In the second half March played some good hockey and Lauren Oakman scored their only goal.

March's player of the match was Gemma Parr.
