March Town Ladies completed a S Tech North League double over Fen rivals Wisbech Town after edging to a 1-0 victory, thanks to a composed finish from Adele Munday.
On a windy afternoon in March, the hosts took the game to Wisbech and their pressure was rewarded after half an hour when Munday cleverly chipped the Wisbech goalkeeper to give her side the lead.
Both sides created chances in the first half, but neither could find a second goal.
The second half continued in the same manner, with an excellent performance in midfield from player-of-the-match Charley Miller helping March to a hard-fought win.
The Hares’ victory sees them leapfrog their Fenland rivals into second in the league table, five points behind leaders Bourne Ladies.
