March Town Ladies cemented their place in second in the S-Tech Women’s Championship North after overcoming Swinehead Ladies 2-1 in a hotly contested encounter.
The Hares took the lead in the first half after a superb 30 year pass from Sydney Davis split the host’s defence, and Kayleigh Churchyard was on hand to expertly volley home.
March doubled their lead when player-of-the-martch Adele Munday played in Shannon Kelly, who kept her composure to glide past her defender before firing home.
At the other end, Tori Sharp made some important saves for the Hares, and despite the home side netting a consolation goal, March were able to hold on for their third consecutive league victory.
March are now five points clear of third-placed Wisbech Town Ladies, and only four behind league-toppers Bourne Ladies.
