March Town’s top performers recognised at cricket club’s presentation evening

More than 50 members and guests attended March Town Cricket Club’s presentation evening.

Guest of honour was Keith Coburn, the Cambridgeshire County Cricket Club manager, who presented the 2014 awards. Dinner was provided by J’s Catering from Chatteris.

Saturday First XI player of the year was Aussie Steve Seymour, who has brought to a close a fantastic six year association with the club.

Club person of the year went to Linda Smart, while young player of the year was Denis Furnell and most improved player was Lewis Welcher.

Other awards: Sunday 1st X1 player of the year - Stephen Shaw; Saturday 2nd XI player of the year - Matt Vail; Sunday 2nd X1 player of the year - Jacob Gray; 3rd XI player of the year - Greg Short; 4th XI player of the year - Dennis Furnell.
