MARCH Town United made a triumphant start to the new year, beating Godmanchester Rovers 3-2 to record their first victory at the GER since September.
A brace from skipper Luke Pepper and a goal from Adam Cornell were enough to secure the three points for the Hares, who had seen their last two games fall victim to the freezing conditions.
The win puts the Hares in eighth place in the Ridgeons First Division, with four games in hand on league leaders Cambridge University Press.
