IT was a mixed night at the Eastern Counties Schoolboy Finals for March Amateur Boxing Club’s young stars.
Conor Crosby just didn’t turn up in his bout with Brentwood ABC’s Jake Harrison and was defeated 20-17. Ambrose Draper allowed Centurion ABC’s Steve Green back into their bout but edged a close contest 15-14.
Draper and Cole Stevens - who was awarded a bye - will now appear in the National Schoolboy Quarter-Finals.
• Despite last week’s report Danny Hedges didn’t reach the finals. His victory came in a non-qualification bout.
