Mother and daughter excel in Florence Marathon in Italy despite pouring rain

A MOTHER and daughter excelled in the Florence Marathon in Italy despite the pouring rain.

Lavinia Seward finished fourth in her age group in a time of four hours 47.23 while her daughter, Michelle, set a new personal best crossing the line in a time of four hours 28.25.

Lavinia ran the marathon for the Milton Children’s Hospice.
