THERE has been great support for the new Fenland Grass Track Club and the club which will hold its first meeting next weekend.

The meeting at the Station Hotel, Station Road, March from 2pm on Sunday February 26, will give anyone interested in the sport the opportunity to get involved with the new club.

The club has obtained all equipment but it is still looking for racing venues. Any farmers or landowners who are interested in generating extra income are welcome to attend the meeting.

Any prospective members, riders, officials or helpers are also invited to come along to the meeting where more information will be provided.

The club is hoping to organise at lease one race meeting this year and affiliation to the sport's national governing body, the Auto Cycle Union (ACU), is being arranged.
