JUNIOR Amateur Boxing Association champion Charlie Stevens will compete for England in this weekend’s Great Britain Junior Championships in Cardiff.

Stevens, 15, from Upwell, who boxes for March Amateur Boxing Club, will face either Wales’ Ricky Rowlands or James Leary in Friday’s semi-final. If successful he could face Scotland’s William Mowat in Saturday’s final as the quartet take to the ring in the hope of being crowned three nations champion.

March ABC coach Bernie Wing said: “Charlie’s been absolutely flying and although he’s done us proud already a win here would top off an incredible few months for him and the club.”
