MARCH Town United travelled to Newmarket on Saturday - but the Hares were never at the races.
Paul Crosbie’s side slumped to a 3-0 defeat against Thurlow Nunn First Division high-flyers Newmarket Town.
The loss sealed a disappointing week for the Hares, who picked up just one point from their clashes with Braintree Town Reserves, table-toppers Cambridge University Press and the Jockeys.
The meagre return leaves them seventh in the league, but several of their rivals have games in hand.
March take a break from league action tomorrow night as they host Lakenheath in the Cambs Invitation Cup.
