March Town United boss Mel Matless says his side will benefit from a weekend off when they travel to AFC Sudbury Reserves in the Thurlow Nunn League First Division tomorrow, 3pm.

The Hares saw their scheduled trip to Framlingham postponed last Saturday and Matless believes the break worked out well for his injury-hit squad.

“The postponement probably came at a good time for us, to freshen a few people up, to let a few niggles and knocks settle,” he said.

“We have had a few injuries at the club, a few recurring ones, throughout the season so having the week off will help things to settle down.

“Hopefully there will be a real freshness and a real buzz about us now and everyone will feel ready to go against Sudbury.

“In this league, you need to be on your game from one to 11 to get something, so we need to make sure we are all on it over the next few weeks.

“After tomorrow, we have got Wisbech St Mary and Needham Market Reserves coming up, who are both around us in the table.

“We will be targeting six points from those two games and want to go into it on a high after a good result against Sudbury.”
