NE14HOCKEY EAST WOMEN'S LEAGUE DIVISION TWO NORTH
Peterborough II 1 March Ladies I 3
MARCH got their season off to a flying start against Peterborough and dominated the early exchanges.
Their pressure paid off when Lauren Oakman converted Tracy Liversedge's penalty corner to open the scoring.
Player of the match Liz Robinson doubled the advantage but the home side reduced the deficit from a quick break and March keeper Julie Ingham had to be at her best as City continued to push forward.
March regained their shape in the second half and Oakman scored her second to secure the points.
