Joe Perry had his hopes of a long run in the Welsh Open dashed in the third round.
The Chatteris cueman, who went into the tournament on the back of his second Asian Tour title, lost 4-2 to Gary Wilson.
Perry lost the first two frames before winning the third with a break of 80.
Wilson took the fourth to go 3-1 up before Perry claimed the fifth. But Wilson snuffed out any chance of a comeback by clinching the sixth frame.
Perry won two matches at the tournament - in the first round, he edged past Lee Page 4-3. The second round saw him whitewash Chinese player Yu De Lu 4-0.
