SWIMMING star Adam Lifshack led the way as March Marlins enjoyed a record-breaking fortnight of success.

Lifshack won the 100m individual medley and the 50m breast stroke at the West Norfolk Open Meet in King’s Lynn on May 22. He smashed two personal bests in an emphatic performance, also claiming third in the 50m freestyle and the 50m butterfly.

Jack Tremain beat his personal bests to make the top three in the 50m backstroke and the 50m freestyle and Jacob Halls secured fourth in the 50m breast stroke.

Siobhan Halliday gained five personal bests in six swims, with Chloe Richardson recording four from five. Lucy Halls and Jess Cable were also in fine form.

The Marlins also excelled in the Fenland Open Meet in Whittlesey on Sunday. The club’s 16 swimmers powered to 30 new personal bests from 54 swims.

Lifshack was again the star performer but he was joined by James and Sam Vardon, who beat nine personal bests between them.

Stunning swims from sisters Katie and Gemma McGowen saw them cruise to a personal best in every race they competed in.

More notable performances came from Kahra Cottam, Sydney Davis, Chloe Seal, Emily Morris and Graham Shaw.
