Fenland Running Club were out in numbers at the start of the new Frostbite Friendly League series of monthly races, with 22 members tackling the five mile off-road course around Priory Park in St Neots.
With blazing sunshine belying the series title, Martin Jennings was first FRC man and Maire Irlam led the ladies home. The other eight scorers for men were Paul Griffin, Ryan Jones, Tim Chapman, Stuart Follen, Rod Sinnott, Tony Moore and Tom Richards and for the ladies Nicky Jennings and Sarah Gauvin. With 16 teams competing, FRC made a good start to the series by coming 9th overall.
