The PGA Lombard National Pro Am Championship kicked off at March Golf Club last week with the qualifying stableford competition played over 18 holes.

The tournament has continued to go from strength to strength and has become the biggest Pro Am in Europe.

The event attracts entries from over 1,000 clubs and has more than 10,000 amateurs taking part and requires 16 regional finals to cater for the huge demand.

Victorious this year was Robert Henshaw with 38 points on the day, beating fellow competitors Graham Lockwood (37 points) and James Kisbey (35 points).

Rob, will join March Golf Club professional Alex Oldham at the regional qualifier at Thetford GC in July. If they are successful there, they will travel to Pestana Vila Sol Golf & Resort in Portugal in September.
