It’s been a busy few months for the March Marlins.
The club’s swimmers have been in action all over the country in recent months, with swimmers in county and European competitions.
The Marlins kicked off their hectic schedule back in May by hosting the Fenland Open Meet, which saw hundreds of swimmers from across East Anglia compete for top places and home swimmers Charlotte Shaw, Graham Shaw, Danielle Rayner and Jessica Rayner all experienced success in their respective age groups.
Marlins swimmers then took the short trip to Norwich for the East Regionals, and Jessica Shaw qualified for the 50m, 100m and 200m butterfly and came third in her age group in the 100m event. Elliotte Ledger also competed in the 100m breaststroke and 100m backstroke.
The Regionals were followed by the Cambs Development Championships, and 15 Marlins swimmers won an impressive 42 medals, before the club swam to second place in the Senior Fenland League in July.

He then travelled to Rother Valley to take part in the ASA National Masters Open Water Championships where he swam to a triumphant second place in the 3000m.
Club members were then in European action, taking to the water in the European Masters Open meet at London’s Olympic Pool, and Richard O’Leary, Garry Mavin, Ross Wisby and Sonia Ledger helped the club break two regional records.
