WISBECH Rugby Club will be hosting a special Northampton Saints training camp for young players of all experience levels during the half term holidays.

The Saints' Premiership Rugby Academy will be visiting Wisbech to provide an exciting opportunity for boys and girls aged seven to 18 years old to learn and develop their rugby skills.

Over three days, top coaches from the academy will be running several groups covering basic disciplines including handling, kicking and tackling, as well as more advanced techniques ranging from mauls and rucks to support play and defensive work.

Contact and non-contact training, competitions and drills will be provided in a fun environment and, at the end of the camp, t-shirts, goody bags and team awards will be presented to children taking part.

Saints' professional players will be making a special appearance to answer questions and any young players impressing the coaches will be chosen for further development with the academy.

The camp will run from 10am to 3.30pm on October 24, 25 and 26, and is open to members and non-members of Wisbech Rugby Club.

The three day camp costs £70 for club members and £85 for non-members.

Beginners and members of other rugby clubs are very welcome.

Bookings can be made online by visiting www.northamptonsaints.co.uk and selecting the 'community' page, followed by 'holiday clubs'.
