Rugby tournament in Wisbech includes youngsters from five counties
Youngsters from across five counties came to Wisbech for a grand rugby tournament.
More than 300 children from Cambridgeshire, Norfolk, Lincolnshire, Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire descended on Wisbech on Sunday morning to enjoy the sunshine, play some rugby and enjoy a well deserved BBQ afterwards.
Shaun Etherington said that Rushden and Higham came by coach so parents could enjoy a drink after the match, Stevenage U14’s had their Wisbech World Tour t shirts on and Holt brought along two U15’s sides to compete against a combined Spalding and Wisbech team.
Results for Wisbech included U13’s 34 Boston 12, U12’s 90 West Norfolk 0, U11’s 60 West Norfolk 20.
A great combined effort with lots of help from volunteers from all sections of the club made it a very successful day.
