March Bears Rugby Club are replacing their old set of rugby posts in time for the new season

MARCH Bears Rugby Club have made big changes ahead of their first home game of the season against Cantabrigians Seconds on September 25.

The club’s old rugby posts are being replaced with a new set of posts and pad protectors courtesy of the Rugby Football Union and Sports England.

Work has been taking place over the last couple of weekends to dig the holes and put up the posts with the final pair going in this weekend.

Cambridgeshire county coaches, Richard Horne and Carl Moore, have both decided they’d like to join the club after being impressed with the friendly atmosphere and enthusiasm.

Horne and Moore have fantastic reputations in the game which have been earned after year’s of playing and coaching.

They hope to increase the Bears’ player-base and improve professionalism at the club over the next three years.

Training takes place on Thursday at 7pm at the Elm Road sports field.
