RUNNERS from across Fenland tasted success at Sunday’s first Frostbite Friendly League event of the year in St Neots.

Rebecca Cousins of Fenland Running Club claimed second in the ladies’ senior category while March Athletic Club’s junior runner Joe Bradshaw finished third in the juniors 3k race.

Fenland Running Club and March AC both entered senior teams in the event but star performer Bradshaw was the highest overall finisher as Cousins crossed the in 43rd place overall.

Many of the 414 senior runners took tumbles on the slippery 5-mile course but Jack Trow (Fenland) and Darren Moat (March AC) were first home for their respective teams in 17th and 72nd.
