MARCH ATHLETIC Club runner Sean Brown will begin his third attempt at finishing one of the world's toughest races, the Yukon Arctic Ultra, on Sunday.
At 10.30am local time, Brown, 38, and the rest of the field will set off from Whitehorse, in the Canadian Yukon, in an attempt to finish the 300-mile course in just eight days. Injuries forced Brown to retire from the 2005 and 2006 races but this time, he is determined to finish. Will he cope with temperatures of -40 degrees Centigrade and the effects of exhaustion, isolation and dehydration? Find out in the Cambs Times next Friday.
