Cambs Short Mat Bowls Club held their annual county fours competition at the Manea British Legion on Sunday. A good day s bowling came to a climax with a closely fought final that came down to the very last end. Two shots down and with one wood remaining,

Cambs Short Mat Bowls Club held their annual county fours competition at the Manea British Legion on Sunday.

A good day's bowling came to a climax with a closely fought final that came down to the very last end.

Two shots down and with one wood remaining, Joanne Clements bowled a running wood and moved the jack to win by one shot.

The final result was Joanne Clements, Stan and Phyllis Jeffreys and Margaret Paul-Clark (pictured) with eight points, June and Claud Parish, Sheila and John Page with seven points.
