ANGLERS took to the banks of the Old River Nene in March... but for many it was just the cold that was biting.
Sunday’s competition was one of the few sporting contests that survived the snowy weather but conditions were not easy for the 50 hopefuls.
Michael Buchwalder did manage an impressive haul as his spot in front of the clock tower paid dividends. He was kept busy with small roach and weighed in 15-15-0 to take the honours.
Paul Constable bagged second place from his peg along Nene Parade thanks to some large skimmers, which helped him record 13-10-0.
