Sparta ABC prospect Kacper Ciureja is one step away from following in his brother Eryk’s footsteps after sailing into the ABA minors final.
The 11 year-old made it seven wins from eight with a comprehensive unanimous points decision win over Jack McLoughon in King’s Lynn.
Following coach Matt Lenton’s instructions to the letter, Ciureja was in control throughout. In the third round, a terrific left hook forced a standing eight count. Afterwards, Ciureja said he felt “quite comfortable”.
His final takes place in Chesterfield in two weeks.
Lenton said: “Everything went to plan. Kacper performed exceptionally well and was always in control.”
