MORE than 90 people attended March Town Hockey Club's annual dinner and awards evening at Neale-Wade Community College, March.

An Honorary Life Membership was awarded to Sally Seaton, in recognition of her many years dedication to the club.

There were special mentions for the players who had played at county level.

Josh Birt had been a member of the County Championship-winning under-15 boys team and both Katie Rodger and Shereen Hutton had been selected for the county under-21 ladies side.

Player awards were presented by club president Ray Pescud: Most improved under-16 boy - Jamie Impey; most improved under-16 girl - Catherine Beresford; sportsmanship award (John Papworth Trophy) - Adam Graham; junior boys award - Richard West; junior girls award - Bekki Bell; most improved senior player - Angie Rodger; club member of the year (Phil Readman Trophy) - Rachel Wright; men's first XI donkey of the year - James Mansfield; men's first XI player of the year - Jody Betts; men's second XI player of the year - Ben Sole; men's third XI player of the year - Tom Nickalls; men's fourth XI players' player of the year - Jacob Fraser and Andrew Wright; men's fifth XI player of the year - Daniel Woods; ladies first XI muppet of the year - Kate Hurn; ladies first XI player of the year - Anna Whittome; ladies second XI player of the year - Hannah Foad; ladies third XI player of the year - Angie Rodger; men's leading goalscorer - Jody Betts; ladies leading goalscorer - Lauren Oakman.
