March 25 Newmarket 14DESPITE fielding a stronger pack, March faced early pressure from the visitors and two converted tries put Newmarket 14-0 up.However, the Bears got back in to the game and started to play good rugby that put Newmarket on to the back foot.A drive from the March scrum pushed their opponents back 15 metres and man of the match Matt Day touched down to open the Bears' account.The home side continued to push forward and from the restart, Steve Howells scored the Bears' second try to make the half-time score 14-10.It was all March in the second half and a tap penalty between the posts allowed Jon Beavis to score in the corner.Newmarket tried to resist the pressure from the March pack but Mark Pauley eventually broke through to score the Bears' fourth try.Steve Howells finished the game off with his second try, five minutes from the end.March skipper Paul Galloway said: "This was probably one of our best performances this season and to come back from 14-0 down took a gargantuan team effort".Tomorrow (Saturday) the Bears entertain Huntingdon in their final league match of the season. All players are requested to attend training on Wednesday nights.
